Default Upper and Lower Control Arms

Looking to put upper and lower control arms into the mustang, so I can get the new gear power to the ground. Which kind should I go with. Went to Steeda's website and the aluminum one's are mad expensive- The steel ones are cheaper. Basically I dunno which ones to get find different ones at different websites, also which ones come standard on the mustang so I dont buy the stock ones.

I went with BBK's........Upper & lower.....be sure to get the eurthane "bushings" for the springs/arms (go on bottom of spring at the Arm). Helps with sound and fit.

The 3 piece bushing steel arms from steeda are great, and at a decent price.

My recomendation just buy the lower arms, if you change the uppers you can bind the suspension. Uppers are mostly used where straightline is a priority.

The stock arms are STAMPED steel, completely different than aftermarket arms.

Do yourself a favor and go with a popular name brand. I pulled my Granatelli's off last night only to find the bushing were worn out pretty bad. Granted these arms aren't made for the street and I've been known to take corners pretty hard. I took them off and replaced them with the stock ones and now the rear end feels much better. I still have the uppers on, but I might look at full suspension packages more for the twisties. If not, I'll probably go with the Steeda arms.

I have Steeda Aluminum ones (the tubular kind) - I LOVE them... but, I also didnt pay full price. I got them off of ebay from someone for like 180 bucks or so... might want to check Ebay... they also came brand new.

Yeah, they're pretty easy to do. Make sure you have help around because the rear-end will shift on you and you'll have to push on the axle to match the holes up while someone feeds the bolts through. I had my wife come out and help for that part, everything else I did on my own. You'll also have to drop your cat-back down to get to the bolt that connects the lower arm to the chassis.

Anyone notice there rear set lower after doing theres? I have the mac upper and lowers in mine. I Also did the Hutkis(sp?) sway bars in the rear and the front. The rear sway bar elimantes the little quad shocks are they? and now the car sits about 1.5 inchs lower in the rear then in the front.
