Question here is a really dumb question!

i just bought a 02 mustang gt, where are the spark plug wires? BE EASY ON ME PLEASE! was looking to replace with better ones. was looking to replace coil too.

the spark plug wires will be easier to trace from the plugs on the sides of the block.. there should be 8 wires leading to the coil packs... i believe they are on top of the fuel rails..ill see if i can find a pic.

i see the eight modules that go to the block, but they have wires leading to them, not plug wires.

The Modules you see are the coil packs. You have to remove it by removing the screw. You can then pull the pack out and underneath it is the spark plug. These packs have a boot on them and came be removed without taking the fuel rails off.

It's called "COIL ON PLUG" technology..As stated the car has no plug wires. Instead has 8 individual coils, one for each cylinder.Really not much of need to upgrade anything this is a pretty "Hot" ignition from the factory. This is the same type of system Chevy runs on the Corvette..Ooooooo!!!!
