Angry Throttle Body Problems

I just installed a throttle body and plumbing today and now my car will not start. I ran the hypertech programmer on it and it still will not start. Can someone point me in the direction to get this fxed so I can use my car again. It comes up with a code that is P1000 and I can't find anything on this code. Help

The P1000 code isn't anything to worry about. There are a lot of cars that have that code show up so I wouldnt worry about it. Did you make sure you plugged everythiong back in? I would double check the MAS and all your sensors on your TB an Plenum and also adjust the idle screw on the throttle body. It may be closed too much and you might not be getting air into your engine at start. And did you restart your computer?

Thanks GTStang31....everything is all plugged in and double check all the sensors but still its not workng. Check the screw and its open, so I don't know what is wrong with it. I did restart the computer but it still didn't help. I just don't know what to do because when I got it all done I took it for a ride and came home turned it off and that is when it didn't start again.

maybe unhook your battery and let it sit for a few min and then hook it back up. that might reset everything for you.

The only other thing I can think of is my car doesnt want to start sometimes because the negative on the battery isnt connected good. The car kind of just makes a click sound and doesnt even try to turn over. Make sure your negative terminal on your battery is connected good.

What exactly does the car do when you turn the key? Does it start and then sputter until it stalls? Does it just click? Does it do nothing at all? Do you get dashes on the odometer where the numbers should be? I need more info to help you out.

Thanks for all the help but the stang went to the shop. It ended up that the throttle sensor got stuck in the wide open position. The shop told us that this happpened because the company that we purchased it from didn't send a spacer or a new sensor for it. Nor did they tell us we need it. The shop fixed it by placing a spacer in it. Now its back up and running again.

dtorres03gt - just make sure you have everything you need before starting this project.

Professional Product was tb and plenum that we used and it doesn't have everything.

So, with the new T/B you have to have a new sensor, or spacer for it to work? I just bought one, and am now worried that I will have a problem.

lol, i read late and was going t answer either TPS sensor, or maybe a vaccum leak of the Plenum or TB isnt sealing properly, but that would just make for a crappy idel

You shouldn't need a spacer for that mod. Nor should you need a new TPS sensor. The OE one your car had must have been on it's way out when you did the mod.
