Smile Dyno Result/Gains with Predator Tune

Finally made it to the dyno, and I gotta say I was pretty impressed!

HP = 264.68
Torque = 301.80

On my second run I flashed the car back to stock and made 260/290. So thats pretty much what the performance tune from Diablosport will give you, 5 hp and 10 ft/lbs.

Not bad at all man. You may want to restore the stock tune just before you start the blower install.

Definitely! The last thing I want to do is forget and run a blower with all that timing. I just got finished removing the pullies, so everything is ready to go.

I know, I was expecting less when I flashed back to stock. 10 ft/lbs of torque isn't too bad though.

Funky boss, just wondering what are your settings on diablo for A/F and Timing for WOT at low rpm range and high.
Right now mine is 0 A/F on both rpm ranges and timing is 3 and 3.5

When my Mechanic tuned it last after I put T/B & Plenum& CAI I think he had it to lean with A/F at -2 & -2.5 and timing at 2 & 2.5

Everyone says timing gives the HP but how much is to much and with how much fuel, I am just trying to see how some other guys have their diablos programmed with similar mods.

yeah that's true.. 10lb ft of tor. I just know when I put my SCT on there was a major differance in my butt dyno, lol. I wasn't sure about how accurate that might be so I raced a car that normally would beat me by a car- car and a half.. and that was closed up to around .5-1 car length. My car seemed more powerful, and seemed like when I shifted it kept me up there longer (in the power band).. i don't know... im goin to have to do that when I do my dyno whenever it is a i get the damn time.

funky you have almost same mods as i did minus the pulleies so i did 251/293, so hopefully i can pick up close to 260/300 before tuning.

5 rwhp? Hmmm...I would expect more than that. Good torque numbers though! :thumbsup

Guys remember this was nothin more than the canned tuned that comes pre-loaded on the tuner. Canned tunes are infamous for being pig rich and not much timing advance.

I would have to check the settings on the unit, however they were never tweaked by anyone. Believe it or not, my first 2 pulls I was running pretty lean and the guy said had it been a blown car he would have aborted the pull. He cleaned the MAF for the last pull and it cured the problem.

True dat! It has been a loooooooong time since I've been on here. Ever since I got the SS I have just been playing around with that. But I can't forget about the 'Stangs! I still love the cars...Just a lot harder to work on

You're the first person I've ever heard say that a 'Stang is harder to work on than an F-body. Have you tried changing the spark plugs yet?
