Greetings all - I've been sifting through forums and other information portals, but nothing concrete about the feasibility of swapping a 1996 Lincoln Mk VIII engine into a 1996 Mustang GT.

So, that being said, anyone have some input or pointers here? Would this basically drop in, or would I need to mod / replace wiring harness?

It will drop right in. You can use your stock harness, no problem. You will need to lengthen the wires on two sensors of the harness (1 for the coolant temp sensor, and the other for the ignition). Other than that, it's plug and play. The engine will drop right into place of your old motor.

I do suggest gettting a cobra intake manfiold though. The mark 8 one just BLOWS.
