Question GT Vs. COBRA hood

I got into an argument today with a guy regarding a 98 GT hood VS. a 98 COBRA hood. He was trying to tell me that the COBRA hood is 1/4 inch shorter lengthwise (front to back) and that it uses different hinges to make it match in the front with the fenders.

I have a COBRA front end on my 98 GT. It was put there by a FORD bodyshop. I am unaware of any different hinges or hood-length. I told him he is full of crap. Is he or am I? As far as I was told when I had the front swapped for the COBRA parts, everything was a direct replacement and no size differences. It looks fine, so who is right?

According to a ford dealership, when I bought my hood and bumper from the parts department, on computer it shows different mounting points for the bumper and different length and hinge attachments for the hood. This is Cobra parts compared to the GT parts. Obviously they can work but according to their P.O.S. computers it says that they wont fit correctly. I HATE dealerships. LOL.
