Make sure you have a couple cans of PB Blaster and a good assortment of socket extensions and flexes in 3/8 and 1/2 inch drive to get the upper bolts on the passenger side.

rodstang01, ok, so maybe i was wrong, i didnt have any good pics of the install of the xpipes on my car....so i just went outside and took them.

here is the 1st pic, just to give u an idea as to how they are supposed to look like after the install.pretty straight forward, nothing special, everything is fairly easy to reach with tools. this pic also shows u were the pipes connect to the catback system u have (or if u dont have, the stock mufflers and pipes u have):

here is the 2nd pic, were the pipes bolt on to the exhaust manifold. this is the drivers side, real easy:

this is the passanger side, i believe that ford changed the flange shape in 99, so it might not look exactly the same. wasnt able to get a good pic of it, but i hope it helps. oh, and ignore the nice mix of oil and coolant....its a little leak my car has developed after 135K miles...

hope this info help you, when u get done with the install you should post some pics of it and maybe a sound or video clip.

adios,
-x

I just put on a BBK off road H pipe and the mil eliminators. It was pretty simple there were the 4 bolts on the manifolds 2 on each side. all four were pretty rusted and took some petty good muscle to break loose. the left side were bolts so no big deal we just replaced them if one brake , but the right side are studs so we had to be a little more careful didn't want to break one off pain in rear to replace. I took the front O2's off wth a 22mm wrench, before i took off the exhaust didn't want to break one and made it easy to get the stock H and cats out. I didn't weld (no welder) the pipes together i used a band clamp its about 3 inches wide and forms a great seal. took off back bolts pryed rubber hangers off put these ( rubber hangers ) on new pipe before putting on car you can move them around more this way makes job easier. the mil-elimanators have to be ordered seperatly. You'll have to trim off some or maybe all of the tabs off of them depending on the year of your car to make them fit. mine is a 96 I think i had to trim almost all of them can't remember for sure though.
As far as the difference between an H and an X pipe i've i always thought the x pipe was better for horsepower and the H was better for torque. i did my swap in my front yard on a set of car ramps was really quite simple.
hope some of this helps good luck
