I am just days away from buying my off road h pipes, yesterday I was checking all the exhaust of my car and I think I will go for the h pipes and then later buy the rest from SLP or Mac. My question is the O2 sensors that I have now on my stock h pipes are the one that goes connected to the new off road h pipes or it requires any other work. And also will this fit the stock cat back I mean the rest of the stock exhaust. Thanks in advance.

It will fit as long as the H pipe was made for shorty headers. Make sure you get the mid pipes from a reputable company because some of the cheaper brands dont line up correctly. Also if your going to get offroad mid pipes you'll need mil eliminators to turn off your check engine light.
You may be pleasently suprised what a good muffler shop can do for you. Might save you money enough for a tow bar too. Interconnect the H-pipe close to the exhaust manifolds for better torque. Ditto on the MILs.
is there any reason you are going with the off road h-pipes instead of the x-pipes? i bought my x-pipes from BBK (tho they werent the off road ones, they have the hi-flow cats) and they fit in perfectly, no fitment issues, and it came in one piece. friend of mine bought off-road x-pipes for his 99 gt (same set-up as urs, mine is a little different) from MAC and they fit in good too, but they came in several pieces. i agree with the MIL eliminators too, ull need those to avoid the check engine light. be careful with which catback system you buy too, it might be a little too raspy. my friend has the flowmasters and while it sounds sweet it is also a little to raspy for me and at times gets annoying. just a thought.

The h-pipe will give you a real nice muscle car sound for sure. Mac has come a long way with their quality and fitment and they're now very nice pieces.

After a very long period of comparison I decide to go for the H instead of X even thought X will give u better numbers. I am just waiting to have solid knowledge about this and I will install it myself. Now what is the difference in power and sound between the off road and a catted h pipe. I am asking that question because I didn’t know about the MIL eliminators which quite frankly I don’t know what to do with them … I have to buy them or is an extra part ……..guys remember I am still a student here lol. If is the same aggressive sound and same performance I will go for the catted mac h pipe. Unless the off road h pipe is better. So if you guys explain me all the MIL eliminators process I will be very happy to know it. Thanks in advance.
rodstang01, im not sure of the exact numbers, but from what ive heard from my friends at GTR x-pipes will give you slightly higher numbers than the x-pipe. as far as the difference between the o/r or the catted pipes, i was told the main difference was sound. performance wise, i would be looking at an extra 3-5 hp if i had gone with the off road x-pipe, but the sound would have been so much better (so im told). as it is, my car has bbk xpipes and magnaflow cat back, and u can hear it coming down the block...so im pretty happy with it. if you want, here is a link as so you can hear what my car sounds like...

Is that a Mustang GTR?
The off-road pipe does not have catalytic converters on it. That's why it's marketed as a part for off-road use only. It will be louder than the pipe with catalytic converters. You'll lose a bit of torque down low, but it will pick back up in the higher RPM range with the off road pipe.

Well one thing is for sure you car really sounds good aggressive and deep even thought is an x not h, (very nice). So guys what exactly do I need to install the off road h pipe. (Mil eliminators) I need to know how to use them. My cousin owns a shop and I have access to a lift machine so it should be easy for me to installed myself (I hope) Thanks a lot.

bluestreak03, sorry, i didnt mean a mustang GTR. i was talking about a mustang shop called GTR out here close to where i live.
rodstang01, as far as what you are going to need to install the off-road h-pipe is just the mil eliminators and the h-pipe. as far as how complicated the install is.....with the help of the lift it really shouldnt take you more than 20-30 minutes to install with the help of a friend. just make sure you tighten all the bolts too....when i was installing the x-pipe on my car we kinda forgot to bolt on the exhaust manifold to the pipes.....the car sounded awsome tho. if you need pics i think i might have some at home that i can upload to show u how easy it is.
