Default EGC Problems, I need Help!!!

My 97 Gt, has been having problems stalling recently. It was generally happening only when i was stopped at stop signs or almost parked. Now its having problems starting after it has been sitting for too long. My check engine light is on but i have no converters so, i think that might be the cause for the light.
I thought it was the IAC Valve but i just got a autozone diagnostic and it said something like EGC insuffienct, so the people said that it could be a whole host of problems in the EGC system. Does anyone know exactly what part in the EGC system it could be?? Thanks for your help!

Do you mean EGR or is this another part? I would get some MIL eliminators or a tune to turn off the check engine light and see if it comes on again and see what codes u get then. How many miles on it and has it ever had the fuel filter changed? Back when i first got my stang it had problems starting sometimes and thats what it was,a clogged filter. Id change that and the IAC for the stalling and go from there.

Check the alternator for proper output as well, should be around 14 volts, maybe even load test the battery, might be something simple. The MIL eliminators will take car of the check engine light unless there is another problem, but they're worth getting, if you ever have a problem without them you'll never know because your cel is always going to be on. A good tuner will also allow you to turn off the rear O2 sensors, and that'll take care of the cel as well.
