Parking Brake light comes on when pushing on the brake sorta hard

i was messinfg around with a RICER yesterday, and when i flew past him casue he has no chance in hell to catch me, i ran into traffic really fast. Well by doing so, i had plenty of time to stop but i wanna to kinda test my brakes out. I held them pretty steady (pushing kinda hard) and once you hit a certain spot my e brake light came on in my dash board. it goes away after you let off a certain amount of pressure. Keep in mind I DO NOT HAVE ABS! What can casue this ?

Is it the !!BRAKE!! light? (Something like that, I think) Mine does the same thing if I push on it to hard. Especially when it is cold.

i know that the brake light comes on when you are low on brake fluid. just my .02

Add brake fluid. As your pads wear down you will need to add more brake fluid. When the light comes on it's time to add some.

You guys are all correct. I talked to my friend and he told me the exact same thing you guys just said. Man THIS IS A GREAT SITE. everbody here KNOWS THEIR SHIZNIT!!!!
