Default High Performance tune-up (Best Plugs & Wires)

I am currently going to get a tune for my 97 gt automatic. I don't have alot of mechanical knowledge so i was wondering exactly what a good tune up would contain. I also want some good plugs and wires and everything done well. Thanks!!!

MSD 8.5mm, Accel 8.8mm,Taylor 10.4mm, FRPP 9mm all make a good set of plug wires. When it comes to plugs there are a dozen or more good choices. If you have a NA motor a good set of platnium plugs like Bosch,Autolite,Champion,NGK, ect is the way to go. If you have a forced induction motor then don't use platnium plugs just a set of standard style plugs will work. I have heard that platnium plugs run hotter than standard plugs and this can cause preignition on a forced induction motor. I used Bosch Plus II plugs for 2 years without a problem but with future plans of NOS I installed a set of NGK TR6 plugs.

Don't forget to put in a new air filter and clean the MAF. Check all electrical connectors also.

Thumbs up

check out www.auroraignitionwires.com

I run them on my 95 and my buddy just got some for his 97. I am very happy so far, best I have tried out of MSD and Taylor. This company only builds high performance wires but they make sets for literally everything, they have like 800 part numbers !, even custom sets direct from their factory. Really worth a look.
