Default how much can be freed up on a dyno tune?

how much horsepower and torque do you think a dyno tune can free up out of my car. i have long tube headers ( full exhaust) 75mm throttle body, underdrive pulleys, and a cold air intake. i also have the sct tuner. and i am thinking about running a 50 shot of nitrous. any suggestions on what they will be able to free up would be great. thanks

somewhere between 0 to 1/2 a horsepower. lol with ur mods it's going to do pretty much nothing. maybe if you had a lot of bolt-ons but it's not going to do nething until you get into cams & heads, or add a supercharger...i'm no expert at all, just been told the same thing before and am passing it on. not to sure on the 50 shot, i have no experience with nitrous..good luck, keep the mods coming

Thats not true at all. I have almost all the bolt ons, except for headers, and after the dyno tune I saw an increase of almost 10 hp and 15 tq. I was running the 91 octane program from superchips prior to that. Also if you can get an air/fuel reading, you'll be able to tune for the nitrous. sometimes the suggested jet combos from the manufacturer aren't correct for your setup. You may need to add more fuel to your mix so make sure you take your spray jets in with you. You might also consider spraying up to a 100 shot of NOS. The engine should be able to handle it. The main thing to remember with your stock internals, your going to wanna give the engine a thorough cool down before runs with NOS. Over use and a bad tune is what will cause problems with using the laughing gas.

like he said. you can tune a STOCK car, almost any car, and gain around 5hp everywhere and a peak of 10-20.

I took my car in for a dyno tune and gained 9HP over the generic 89 Oct tune on my XCAL. My car is a stock 2002 vert.

Well, you don't know your baseline HP so you won't know the exact gains but with your mods and a good tuner it will probably be around 15-20 over bone stock and probably run a little better, good luck.

They'll baseline it on the very first run. If your A/F ratio is all jacked up on the baseline, by the time he's done you could pick up well over 20 rwhp. If it's not jacked, then you can get anywhere from 10-20 rwhp.
