Default Draw thru vs blow thru

Procharger recommends the MAS in the fender. I have been told by the guy that does my tuning it is better to have it on the inlet before the sc. The reason for this he says is because the mas will peg if its in blow thru postion. I cant for the life of me see how i'm gonna fit the air filter -mas-inletpipe. Whats everyones opnions on this? Should i leave it where procharger intended it to be or try hacking this apart to make it fit.

If anyones wondering i postioned the lightning iat that i got in the blow thru so it reads the correct air temp.

WEll,most of the factory turbo cars I have been around were before the (insert compressor of choice here). I guess the problem being on the pressure side is that a fluid (and yes air is a fluid) under pressure pushes equally in all directions and then you have to consider what volume of air causes laminar flow or turbulant flow in the pipe. If I were building a system, I would put it on the suction side for the lack of pressure applied to the sensor and housing (maybe being weak it could deform and cause some erranious readings). Though, if the kit was made for it to be on the compressed side andthat how the tune is set up.. leave it there.

Maybe I'm missing something here but with the MAF in the fender, it will be on the intake side, where it belongs, not on the pressure side. It does look as if it may not fit, but it will, good luck.

A power-pipe is usually used in a draw through setup. The pipe will position the filter in the fender, allowing for more room to fit the MAF. Which MAF do you plan on using? If your going back to stock, there is no need for your Lightning IAT. I'm not sure if your Granatelli will work with the Procharger. If your tuner prefers draw through, then thats probably your safest bet. The only problem you may run into is backwash from your BPV, so be sure to position the inlet far enough away from the MAF, close to the head unit.

Yes, make sure that the MAF is as far away from the bypass valve as possible and still oriented in a somewhat horzontal position.
