does anyone know what the difference is between the master cylinder on a 1998 mustang gt and that off of the 99-04 GTs/cobras? and also what the difference is between the hydraboost assembly between the two? i think its finally that time for me to replace the m/c, and if the newer ones are better and bolt right in, i would rather just update to the new system. also, what do you guys think about buying a used m/c and hydraboost unit off of ebay?

any info/suggestions would help.

I dont think a master cylinder from a 99-04 mustang will bolt right on, they have different part #'s, buying new is relatively inexpensive..$60 and up for a master cylinder. On advance auto parts website they start at that and go up to $160. Keep in mind you will get what you pay for on Ebay 99% of the time
