Alternator Suspected Problem, Help Please! Details about my ride are listed below, but I believe my alternator is about to fail. My Voltage Gauge on my dash has been reading below the middle mark. So, I checked the voltage on my alternator and it is reading around 13.7VDC. If memory serves me correctly, shouldn't it read between 14.3 and 14.8 VDC?? I will probably remove my alternator and take it to Autozone for testing, but I thought I would ask the question before I dig into my engine again.
Also, can anyone recommend a high performance alternator and where to buy??
