I am about ready to do the pi intake swap. I was also looking into doing the cams as well. Because of my lack of mechanical knowledge, i am not exactly sure what to do. I have been reading about competition cams and how much better they are than the pi. How much hp should i gain with the comp cams compared to the pi cams. And what is the best brand?

Dont know exact dyno numbers but with the 262's you will feel a difference and you dont loss much down low power. And they will work without a custom tune or headers, but I would get a tune with them and the intake. The heads will probably be the biggest improvement for you.
