Default Brake upgrade.....which one

Im a student so im tight on cash but after installing some springs I really like how the car handles better. Now im thinking brakes would be sweet.

Whats the best way to get more bite from my brakes

1) getting a cobra upgrade for the front?
2) upgrade for the rear?
3) Stick to stock caliper but get cross drilled or slotted or both rotors, and better pads?

I really dont want to spend alot of money, however if its not that much more of a difference than stock then I would rather put the money towards something else.

anyone have any prices too?

Thanks in advance

You can install a set of better than stock brake pads and braided brake hoses, that will make a great difference.
Hawk street pads are great, dont use race versions, they can warp the stock rotors.

Cool

The least expensive is probably the aforementioned, pads and lines.
Personally I'd just buy a pair of Cobra stockers for the front and upgrade the rear only if you 'really' want, not need to.

The cobra stockers you mentioned....are you refering to the whole kit or just the calipers. I say this because I thought the cobra had a larger rotor...so i would need the whole thing right?

If I was able to do springs and all the other mods in my sig myself, how are is the braided brake hose upgrade to install? How long is the hose that need to be replaced in each caliper? Thanks

GTRmustang95, ur right, the cobras (and mach 1's) came with 13"rotors, so you cant just upgrade to the calipers, you have to get the calipers, rotors, and lines. the exact length of the brake lines on caliper i dont know, but they are relatively easy to install, you just have to make sure you bleed the whole system right when ur done. off the top of my head i cant think of the names of the companies, but there are some that offer kits that pretty much just swap out. you shouldnt have much trouble installing these.
