Just yesterday I began to notice a noise coming from what appears to be the clutch. It starts after the car is up to normal temps and only happens when the clutch is engaged and gets louder as I get up to speed. It kinda sounds like a buzzing chatter noise (if that makes sense) and stops as soon I press the clutch petal in or turn up the radio . I thought it may be the short throw I put in last Thursday, but it doesn't stop when I put pressure on the handle like the Tri-Ax did in the GT. Any thoughts?
Sounds like a bad throw-out bearing to me. Pretty common problem with T-5's/T-45's.
It's 100% the throwout bearing... it's common on ALL cars. You can do 2 things, either replace it and the clutch, or trying greasing it to see if it stops (most likely not).
Proper clutch alignment is needed at all times, and an aftermarket quadrant is a MUST to do so. I recommend one on all cars, with adjustments made periodically.
I was afraid of that! So should I go with the King Cobra or Spec stage 1? Trying to keep cost down !
You could do nothing. Mines been squeling since 03 and the car still moves. Granted, this isn't the CORRECT thing to do, but you shouldn't limit your options at this point.

yup i was just getting ready to say a bad TOB, i have heard great things from the King Cobra for price and performance.
i was going to get the KC for my car but its not available for tr3650. when i swapped the tranny in mine i put a new TOB just incase. and my clutch was replaced by ford at 30K i have 50 now.

you could go king cobra, which is actually just a 93 cobra clutch and pressure plate, or you can go with the 11 inch clutch and flywheel from the newer cobras.

I like this idea, then when I'm ready to spray I'll probably go with a Centerforce or Spec Stage II or III.

What are the new Cobra clutches rated at?
A new TOB is only like $30, but if I'm going in there I wanna fix it right .
dont know an actual torque spec for their rating, but if you want to do any aftermarket clutch, you can still to the 11 inch clutch, just get a flywheel from i believe a 99+ cobra and just order a clutch for the respective model cobra.

^I agree
That will cost major money to replace too. You might as well wait for the clutch to go out, and then repair the clutch and the TOB. For now, just lube the TOB. You might get lucky, and it could stop chirping.
