Default please help horn problem on 99gt....

hi all sorry i havent been back here but was deployed again......im back and my car horn made a sickening noise like it was dying....it wasnt abrupt like a fuse......it was a gradual thing that lasted one day.....well now i checked the horn fuse under the hood and its good.....i push the horn and it springs back but i dont know if that clues me to the horn spring or not...is there a replay because i have googled and cant find it if there is one....any help appreciated thanks all SALUTE!

Just wondering if you have tested the horns by powering directly from battery. They do go bad. I have replaced the ones in my 2000 GT.

Replacement horns are very cheap from the the salvage yard.
