Question Tweaking My 02 GT Gears and Timing Advancement

I have two questions

I can not decided if the money would be better spent on the steeda timing adjuster or a performance chip. I am leaning towards the timing adjuster.

I plan on doing the gears my self has anyone else replaced the gears if so what should I expect? From what I have read about gears and the 4.10 is what I should add to my GT 02 automatic for best performance.

Currently I have K&N filter, flow master 40's and Steeda under drive pullies.

The best way to adjust the timing is with a chip, but a chip should be one of the last mods unless you don't mind paying for the reburn's. About the gears, just make sure you follow the correct pinion depth and backlash inscribed on the gears. What ever way you go try 4 degrees on the timing.

if you want to advance the timing get Steeda Pullies and Steeda Timeing Adjuster. Set the T/A to 15*
