as a few of you probably know already i did a 4.30 gear swap a few weeks ago. the question i have is that i noticed on a comment in one of the other threads that something called "friction modifier" should be added to the mix when you put the gear oil back in. i have never heard of this stuff thus i did not add any obviously this stuff makes it more viscosic correct? where do i get it and what is the best brand to get? how much do i add? thanks guys
Go to any local Ford part dealer!, somebody recently wrote in a thread that synthetic gear oil already has friction modifiers in it, but using more doesn't hurt. I understand you use a whole bottle Ford Racing Performance Parts [Differentials]
