hey mnark you forgot to tell him that the egr ports get clogged and the hoses can deteriorate and fall part. clogged ports would set a code EGR INSUFFICIENT FLOW DETECTED..

will do... do i absolutely need a tune to get rid of the codes though or can i just plug everything off for now and clear the check engine code when it comes up every day or two using a diagnostic code reader. is spark advance a factor with egr or is the egr something that is just there for emissions and stuff like that? i know we had a conversation about this a while ago but im just going to listen to you from now on haha. so if i dont "get a tune" but just clear the code every time it comes up will that be ok? for now..

the PCM will not retard any spark whatsoever with the EGR disabled.
so by this i can take it that the timing of the engine or spark of the combustion process is not effected by the EGR correct? if so then will the computer adjust if it is not there?

those are the only questions left that i need to know before i do this tomorrow morning. thanks again guys.
