I have seen guys get like 40rwhp from the mod can't remember if they got tuned Don't tink so direct bolt on. I think as long as the meter is set for the injector size u are fine.

this isn't 5.0 tech... the MAF is not calibrated to the injectors like on the 302 EFI cars.

Injector calibration is done through fuel tables in the PCM only. The lightning MAF is good to ~500rwhp, if you run a MAF extender you can push it a little farther. Many people have used the 90mm MAF on blown cars with no problems. I'd suggest running an SCT MAF myself however.

Usually on a stock 1989-2004 GT, the MAF is good to around 300 RWHP - some will peg sooner, some later. 80mm Lightning MAFs add a little to that, about 350-375 RWHP, while 90mm Lightning MAFs will peg at about 450 RWHP. SCT BA 2400 MAFs are good to around 625 RWHP and the BA 2800 are good to near 800 RWHP or so. Any of the SCT MAFs will give almost stock driveability, but they need a tune to work properly. Most people skip the 80mm Lightning MAF and go right to the 90mm unit.

hope that helps

I highly suggest getting an SCT MAF in leau of the MAF x-tender. It's much safer to tune an engine with the proper MAF counts and voltage.
