Default Not Idle Problem!

This thread isn't posted to talk about my mysterious idle problem. I wanted some further info on how I can fix it when I don't have codes, and replaced most parts that can cause it. I'm down to the last two of the parts that could be causing this problem. 02's or also the TPS. If I purchase an SCT tuner, will this eliminate the actual O2's readings and TPS readings at the computer because the values are given by the tuner or will the tuner still read that there's a problem with either of them and continue the idle roughness. I've been told that a tune would solve my problem with idle issues if it's not a vacuum leak. Thank you very much

Have you checked the TPS voltage? It should read about .96-.98 at idle. The tuner will disable your rear O2's, which monitor emmisions, and wouldn't fix your issues. The front O2's monitor air fuel and adjust accordingly. If those are shot, you need to replace them. Also check your vacuum, it should read 18-22 in./Hg. I'm sure you have already tried all the other stuff, such as cleaning the MAF, replacing the IAC valve, IAT, EGR, blah, blah, blah!!!

Cleaned MAF, Plugs, Boots, EGR, IAC, Put offroad X-pipe on and MILS in back. People are telling me to replace the front O2's because the car's 7 years old and I've only got 40,000 on it now. And I'm not sure if it's the IAT because it's pretty random and if there were something wrong with that I'd probably get an engine code of some sort. Can I clean the front O2's? You think they're just carbon clogged because I've got no cats anymore? It did this before the x pipe though

IAT is your Intake Air Temp sensor, IAC is your Idle Air Control valve, but whatever, I know what you meant lol. You can clean the IAC valve with some carb cleaner, if it fixes the problem temporarily, replace it. You won't neccesarily get a code for that. I've heard you can clean the O2's by hitting them with a torch until they are glowing red, but I'm not sure just how well that works.

just so you know... for the most part probably besides the IAC and TPS sensor.. any part that is electronic will throw a code if its bad. usually... so that leaves you with either a vacuum leak or something that is not controlled by the ECU. check hoses and everything possible... EGR valves and hoses, everything. its most likely something that is not controlled by your computer
