Default mac o/r h install

So this is the deal. I got the MAC o/r h pipe and it came with 4 pieces, the h pipe, 2 mid pipes, and a small metal sleeve, but no directions. I didn't see where the sleeve went so left it off. I installed the pipe, but could not get the driver side midpipe to seal with the driver side header. There is a gap and a huge exhaust leak. I am guessing this is where the metal sleeve comes in play. Is this right and how does the sleeve go in. Do I just put it in the midpipe and is the lip enough to fill that gap to prevent the leak. Any help would be great. I put the stock h pipe back on, but I would really like to reinstall the mac. Also, once the check engine light comes on, is there a way I can reset it or does a shop have to do it. Will the stock metal gasket from the passenger side work with the mac? Thanks

Yes, the sleeve drops right into the drivers side collector and bolts right up. The stock gasket on the passanger side will work as long as it's in good condition. Don't use the cheap paper gasket that comes with most aftermarket pipes. I don't think I got one with my MAC pipe though. As for the CEL, you can use MIL eliminators or a tuner to shut them off yourself.
