Default 2002 Mustang Power Window Gear Box

Hey Guys,
I'm new here. I have been reading some post and found some very good info here.
I have a 2002 Mustang and the power window stopped working with the window down. Checked wiring, fuses, and switch. They were all good. I opened the panel and tapped on the motor and the window came up, which was great. I don't think this solved the problem though. I was just lucked. I have read where there are some plastic disc in the gear box that go bad. I'm going to tear it down this weekend and see if that is the problem. If so, Could someone please tell me where I can get new ones or another way to solve the problem.

If it were the disc causing the problem the motor would still run just wouldn't move the window. If motor doesn't run at all then you hit it and it starts working then its the windings in the motor and you will have to replace the motor to correct that.

its most likely the motor. 90% of the time they just die and when cold they work some times enough to get them up.. ive had to replace many window motors with the same problem u described....and uve checked most of the obvious...let us know
