Default Stumbling and not running correct

It's not my IAC, Plugs or Boots, EGR Valve, O2's, Fuel Filter, (No Cats). How do I go about diagnosing this car myself without throwing anymore parts at it. It's got 40,000 miles, it's a 2000 GT w/ 4.10 gears, bassani x pipe, no cats, mgw short throw shifter
Symptoms:
-Runs and breaks down after pressing in the clutch. Drops to 500ish and then it dies out
-Idle doesn't sound healthy. Sounds like a cammed motor.

I have an SCT Xcal2 on the way to my house so I'm going to download my tunes and check to see if that's the reason the idle drops a little.

Also I unplugged my speedometer sensor from the tranny for a long roadtrip to save mileage because I haven't tuned the car with the SCT for the gear yet. That's when it started to die more often and not just drop to 500ish and then pop back up and save itself.

Help me out here guys and educate me on this ride and what else my problem could be. I will be plugging my sensor back in and then also plugging in the tune and also adjusting speedo for the gears. I've gotta be on the road again for new job change soon. Thanks a lot.

Or if anybody's from the Phoenix AZ area let me know and we'll get together to check out eachothers cars. Thanks a lot guys.

is your check engine light on? if so, get that handheld tuner and read the codes and tell us what it says.

if there is no check engine light then check/Clean your mass air flow sensor.

check for vacuum leaks as well.

check the voltage on your throttle position sensor just for shiits and giggles.

let us know what you find.

Look at your gages, are they low? turn on the head lights, are they dim? what does your amp gage read out at?

Man my 97 does the same thing! I was going to post a new thread but decided to add to this one. If his is anything like mine, here is some more info:

Fuel pressure is good, plugs are good, wires are good, no vacumme leakes, nothing. I dont know if this has anything to do with it, but I changed my 97 two water jacket plug type intake manafold to a 2002 style one wire. Any help on this would be great!
