Default 2000 Mustang GT: Throttle body and upper plenum questions

My 2000 mustang has under drive pulleys, long tube headers, 2.5" exhaust, and SLP Loudmouth 2 mufflers. I'm about to spend $300 on a BBK throttle body and upper intake plenum combo. About how much can I expect to gain from this, and where in the RPM range should I get it? I'm kind of having second thoughts about buying this, I dont want to build a motor where all my power is at the top end, Id rather have it between 2500 and 5000. tips please.

you'll be fine with the combo. on an n/a car, dont expect to get a massive power increase, combined i would say maybe about 10rwhp or so. what you will get is a noticeable increase in throttle response. the power gains will be made throughout the entire powerband, but more noticeable in the low and mid range (at least thats were i noticed mine).

Yup, throttle response will be razor sharp and like these guys said, low end power will improve somewhat. Don't be surprised if you pick up 1-2 mpg also.

you wont gain much on a na car i have the 75mm bbk plenum and tb combo from american muscle and didnt feel much results at all... if you do it though make sure all your gaskets are in place or put some rubber sealer or mr gasket in there you dont want a hell of a vacuum leak
