Ok i'm a little confused? I want to purchase a H pipe with or with out cats. I'm being told that i already in a sence have a X pipe stock on my 02 GT So is this true? should i just pull my cats and use what i got or Should i go with a H pipe if so which one will give the best performance and sound Or should i get a X pipe? i know they make X pipes and H pipes with high flow cats should i get a H pipe with hight flow cats or should i just get it and have no cats and just reinstall my pipe and cats when i go threw emmissions? Is there a good H or X pipe that has cats that will give me the same performance and sound as if i had no cats? If i go with no cats on my 02 GT will i pass emmissions? So what is the deal what should i get thats going to give me the best loud sound and performance? I have have Flow master Mufflers Whats will be the best For me please help?

You car has a stock H pipe, but the tube diameter is 2 1/4 while performance pieces use 2.5" diam pipe. (or larger)

Go with a X pipe WITH CATS, you will have problems running without cats and will need to buy a MIL kit to avoid "Check engine light" problems.

Good brands: BBK, BASSANI, BORLA, MAC, STEEDA

Theres basically very little diference in performance between a Legal and Offroad X/H pipe on a mostly stock car.

Kevin are you putting any headers on? or just h-pipe? I have an h-pipe with high flow cats brand new never used. It is for long tube headers though. I will sell it to ya if ya want it. I have an 02GT vert. just pm me or reply.
