Default Another New Mustang Owner

Hello, I'm another new mustang owner. I have just bought a 97 Gt convertible. I hope that I'm doing this right and not asking questions at the wrong place. First off, Where would be the best place for me to look for an owner's manual? Nope, the car didn't come with one.
How do I care for the leather seats? Is there something special that needs to be done?
And my most important question is about the over drive. When do I use this and when should I not use this? I have never had a car with it before. Any help would be great :^)~ If I'm posting in the wrong place, please let me know. Thanks.

Hey Tammy, welcome to AFM...
No, you aren't asking in the wrong place, but a lil later if you want to write an intro thread so people can say "hey" that will go in the Intro section As far as your questions go, you can either try the parts department at a dealership or the cheaper route, ebay... Leather, no real special care, but you may wanna grab a bottle of Lexol Leather cleaner for when they get dirty and afterwards Lexol leather conditioner and that will help protect them. Overdrive, you can leave it on all the time with no probs... however if you are constantly driving in overdrive in places where its downshifting to 3rd and back to overdrive, you may wanna go ahead and shut it off, or speed up/slow down.. but daily driving its best to have it on because it will help engine and fuel mileage....
Let us know if you need anything else...

Hi Tammy,

Leave the overdrive on, you won't need it much here in Ohio anyways. The Lexol Conditioner is good especially if you leave the top down for long periods of time in the summer.

Tammy,
I would just say to use Armor All on the top every time you give it a good wash, and don't put the top down while driving:0)

Have fun with your new Mustang. If you get to racing it, I might see you around.

Enjoy!

Hey Tammy,

Welcome aboard. I'm pretty new here myself, but I've got to tell you the folks on here are great. Well unless you bring up the 3.73 vs. 4.10 gear debate. The they show their teeth.

lol. Just kidding guys.

Nice to here of your automobile selection, Tammy.

I, too, just got my '98 GT 'Vert. I've barely owned it a week, and I love it to death. But anyways, you asked a few questions that I was wondering myself. Thanks for the assist.

Tammy,

Don't worry, we never bite. Anyhow, I have answers for you. Google let me down, but not ebay. See if these url's work for you.

If not just try to search ebay motors. Hope this helps.
