Default 2003 Mustang Cobra clutch help in California

Hi, I just found you're site from a search engine & joined. I'm looking for recommendations for a replacement clutch and installation facilities in either the bay or L.A. area. I'm thinking Fidanza 2.1, Spec 2 or 2+ or Ram HDX clutch assembly with a Fidanza fly wheel. This is my first clutch replacement from stock. My Cobra is stock except for cat backs and CAI. I'm extremely miticulous and picky about this vehicle, original owner & will never sell it. I want only a very knowledgeable mustang mechanic to do the job. Any advise would be appreciated.
Thanks
Dennis

spec and centerforce are the best in my opinion.

the fidanza flywheels are very nice as well but kinda pricey. but you do get what you pay for.

i would recommend a spec III with the aluminum flywheel. it would do you quite nicely.

as for shops, pm me and i will give you a couple of contacts.

you are willing to go to the bay area and LA? where do you live exactly

look up a place called nor cal motor sports and ask for jay. tell him cobraboy sent you up there

not exactly the LA area, but the greater LA area. there is a shop in Rancho Cucamonga called GTR High Performance. very good staff, very good people, and very mustang-savvy people. hightly recomend them.

for what clutch, i recomend centerforce and mcleod. both are good clutches, center force is softer on the pedal than the mcleod, but the mcleod clutch seems to hold a little more power than centerforce.

for the flywheel, the fidanza flywheel is awesome, just make sure you get the aluminum one, since ur car already has one. next time, all you have to do is replace the friction plate ($40) compared to replacing the entire flywheel ($400)

im the one you want. if you are as meticulous as you say, (i know i am) then only Ford Racing has the clutch for you.
