Really ODD Electrical Issue

have a 97 GT with a funky electrical issue:

- Everything will be working just fine.

Then, randomly, parking lights will come on, without the switch, and will go off. Time interval varies. Working the light switch will work and not work, to turn them off. When this starts to happen the cabin light will not work off the light switch or the door switches. The 2 additional cabin lights don't work either. Door locks also stop working by the switch and the FoB. Trunk lock also does not work on the FoB but will work on the button in the glove box. Power windows and mirrors work.

Checked all fuses, under the dash and under the hood, all look fine. Is there a common ground to check for all these items, and where is it located?

There is nothing I can do to make things work again, but they will start working again as well as stop working.

Ideas are greatly appreciated!

Just wondering if there's an aftermarket alarm system.

Assuming this car has remote keyless entry. If so, start by inspecting the remote keyless entry module (in trunk). Look for evidence of water or rodent damage. While there check the ground located in the truck.
