Kevin,
If you modify your cats, odds are you wont pass emissions. I've had both the Mac Hi flo cat h pipe and Mac's o/r h pipe.
The switch from stock to the hi flo cat pipe was amazing in terms of sound and performance. However, after a couple months, one of the cats went bad on the MAC pipe and my service engine light came on. My Mac dealer let me trade it straight up for an o/r pipe and a set of eibach springs. Needless to say, I jumped on that deal! I bought some MIL elims from dallas mustang and never looked back.
The difference between the o/r pipe and hi flo cat pipe is just as astounding as the difference between stock and the hi flo cat pipe! I LOVE the sound and it is LOUD. I could really tell a difference in performance with the o/r pipe too.
If you have a cold air intake system, you will notice that becomes louder also. That o/r pipe releases so much more air quicker that your CAI compensates...its really cool.
Hope this helps.
Later,
Jason
