Default Ok H pipe and X pipe question

Ok i'm being told that i have a decent stock H pipe on my 02 GT i already have Flowmaster mufflers. So here is were i'm getting confused. i was considering getting a bassani X pipe but someone told me the combo of a bassani X pipe and my Flowmasters would not be that good is this true? ok so now i'm thinking getting a Mac or BBk H pipe with high flow cats is it even worth it if i already have a stock H pipe weather i get a Bassani or X or a MAC H with high flow cats will it help make my exhuast louder on top of my Flows already on there or is it not worth even doing it and just keep my Stock H please tell me the benifits i would get from either Bassani X or Mac or BBk H? Or how about this should i just blow out the combs inside my stock cats will this make it louder can i pass emmissins by doing this?

Kevin,

If you modify your cats, odds are you wont pass emissions. I've had both the Mac Hi flo cat h pipe and Mac's o/r h pipe.

The switch from stock to the hi flo cat pipe was amazing in terms of sound and performance. However, after a couple months, one of the cats went bad on the MAC pipe and my service engine light came on. My Mac dealer let me trade it straight up for an o/r pipe and a set of eibach springs. Needless to say, I jumped on that deal! I bought some MIL elims from dallas mustang and never looked back.

The difference between the o/r pipe and hi flo cat pipe is just as astounding as the difference between stock and the hi flo cat pipe! I LOVE the sound and it is LOUD. I could really tell a difference in performance with the o/r pipe too.

If you have a cold air intake system, you will notice that becomes louder also. That o/r pipe releases so much more air quicker that your CAI compensates...its really cool.

Hope this helps.

Later,
Jason
