Default 02 GT with headers??

I am wondering if anybody else on here has put headers onto an 02 GT.
I need to find out headers that will actually fit. I have tried Mac and absolutely will never buy their products again, their headers don't fit. I am just wondering if anyone has completed this task yet. Anyways, thanks any input would be helpful.

Actually I'm back to NO exhaust No the Mac LT headers I purchased did not work. And Mac Is the worst company I think I have ever dealt with. I ended up shipping them my headers out and after a week I received the original headers (same exact ones) that I had sent to them. They basically said hey these headers fit our Jig (mold) so they should fit your car. They wouldn't even let me return the headers and put money towards anything else either. Basically S.O.L., So I'm now wanting to find somebody with headers already installed so that I just am not wasting my time or money. I'm just glad that its winter...Just seeing it jacked up in my garage with headers that wont fit is killing me.

Default What type of headers?

Are these long headers or shorties? What was the problem? Do they interfere with some other component?

Sorry to hear about the issues you had but I also have MAC longtubes and they fit perfectly. They are tight around the starter but not so much that you can't reinstall it. You're only other options are BBK or Hooker.

I know I'm messing with a hornets nest here, and I dont want to tick anyone off. I'm really sorry that your headers dont fit, and I wish you the best in finding what's right for you.

I just wanted to say that I've been nothing short of happy with MAC as a company. Of course, I work through a MAC dealer. If something was wrong, MAC did right by me. For instance, I bought a High Flo h-pipe from them. A couple months later, I found out the drivers side cat had failed. I was able to send it back, and they sent me an O/r pipe and my dealer was able to get me some MARCH pullies for an even trade.

Every company has issues. Its just about finding good people to work with. And yes, my car is a daily driver here in the ohio winters, and I havent experienced any rusting or poor part quality since.

Later,
Jason

you would think they would fit what they claimed they fit. That's just not righ,t they must have made them to fit SOMETHING. Maybe they were mislabled and are for a diffrent model mustang?

I was hoping that was the case but when i sent them in to have them looked at the main guy of the manufacturing said that they fit their mold for 96-03 GTs with the 4.6, so they SHOULD fit my car. I even took pictures of all the trouble spots and the most they said was well we find it hard to believe these have that many problems and have had no other complaints about them from anyone else, so they sent me my headers back and said sorry theres nothing more we can do....That just pissed me right off, I took pics, I sent the headers back, and I did everything I possibly could and they basically told me I'm S.O.L.
well the upside to this whole thing is i think I'm gonna get some hooker headers, oh well i guess. I'm not gonna watch my car sit in the garage, so ya gotta pay to play.
