I had a fox bdy (1990 lx 5.0) and used a bbk lowering kit ( coils, struts ,shocks ,caster/camber plates)and had 225 /50/16 of course that was when I had hair on my head . It's 18 years later and alot more options depending on your goal , quarter mile or handeling . Then of course there is budget. 16 inch wheels where new back then now their reasonably priced with tons of options . I would start with lowering kit and wheel & tire package

Hiya, welcome to the site. I have that same size on my front end but because I'm a drag racer, and wanted to keep some semblance of handling too. I'd suggest doing it the right way with springs.

Plenty of info over in the 5.0 forums about lowering springs.
