1992, you still have forged pistons with the 4 valve reliefs. You could go as large as .535-.540 lift, I'd suggest the E303 cam for a good overall improvement. The biggest cam you can get isn't always the best choice. This means you still have to take into account the rocker ratio you use, stick with the stock 1.6 ratio.
As for the rest of the mods you can do, I have to ask first what's the budget limit? That will ultimately determine what the best mods to do would be. But there's a lot better choices than 351 heads that are lighter weight too.

Default I am in the same boat 1 1992 gt 5.0 looking to do it right

I too just got a 1993 GT 5.0 and I want to unleash the horses. This car is stock except for x type exhuast, eibach suspension, and k&n air filter (no cold air induction) and just had automatic fully rebulit with quite a few upgrades doubled the amount of clutches. Racing tourque converter and 1 level below racing shift kit. and of course rims and tires. The thing is since this is an unmolested motor I want to beef it learning from other peoples mistakes. Please point me in the right direction. I have read most of the string for 5.0 beginners and it was very informative.
Thanks
the dragon
