I personally think that would look pretty crappy. Plus my whole thing is getting the exact tint(darkness) that you'd want...and I dont think thats a possibility with the tint you speak of. Its just that set tint(darkness)

Yeah...it is hard to come by. And I know when you find it, you better get it cause they go FAST! Within an hour....3 cans were gone. They can't keep this stuff stocked. So you probably better off getting it online...how much is it coming out to?

You can let it cure on your car if you want. I just think it would be better if you let it cure in an undisturbed enviroment. So that it bonds well to the plastic. I didn't touch mine for close to two days. I wanted to make sure the VHT really bonded to the lights before handling it. Plus thats just good sense letting it be. But do it at your own risk....

The best of luck!! Let me know if you end up doing this project

Thanks for the help and advice in this. I did a practice run on a cheap set I bought for $10 at rockingham. I used the clear coat on them. Ended up selling them for over $100 bucks, and just finished the ones on my car. They turned out really good. So thanks for all the advice man, it worked out well.

Its not that hard, just pop the lense off and spray them with the Nightshades spray, do light coats and let it dry before you throw on another coat. Then just glue them back together and you'll get the results in the pic

VHT night shade paint on mine. Preped the lights, wet sanded them, clear coated, and polished!

Those look great! I think I'm going to do another light coat of VHT and then clear them.
