Default What are the 1/4 mile times for a stock 5.0 225hp

I would like to know if anyone can give me info on what the 0-60 and 1/4 mile times for a stock 5.0 225hp. I never see anyone talk about what a stang could do stock. I am just curious? My 90 LX 5.0 is stock now but not for long!

Mid 14's are possible and low 14's with some slicks, or radials. 0-60 rattings I beleive are in the 6.0-6.1 range, but I'm sure a good driver could post mid 5's in the 0-60.

High 13s for notchback/coupe and low 14s on the hatchback (approximately, track temps and conditions vary greatly)

Depending on track conditions and the weather.I know
depending on your driving ablity in the 1/4 mile I know
you should be able to muster 14.5-14.9 on DR's.With
a pair of great slicks you should be able to run a
14.2-14.5 if you get good launches.Your 0-60 rate should
be 6.0-6.1 Stalkerstang is correct on that.Good Luck
at the track. All I can tell you is pratice and pratice some
more because awesome E.T.'s don't come over night.

if you're at sea level and its a stick with practice you should easily see mid to low 14's on street tires assuming that your engine is healthy.

My twin's bone stock '90 LX ran consistent 14.70's @ 95 MPH before he rebuilt the engine. Now with a lot of aftermarket parts, he's in the 13.40 range @ 104 MPH.

Like my signature says, I did a

14.38 @ 95mph
A horrible 1500 bog launch(2.73 gears) even though I tried to launch it at 4500 ish.
It was super hot out the day I ran around +27 and humid(works out to be 80 ish degrees Fahrenheit)
Also I was on M/T ET Street Drag Radials(Helped but made me dead hook and bog)

Got Rice I'm there with you minus U/D pullies and exhaust for mods when I was at the track. I mustered a 14.1 at 98. Couldn't speed shift like I wanted, tranny in rough shape.
