Default paint job repair on a budget!

Hey for anyone who is doing paint work.. im shure some have allready seen it a million times. but heres my qtr panel repair i did on my mustang in my little garage with some rustoleum paint and a foam roller! this pic was about three hours after my second base coat. it looks good there is quite a bit a peal in it but im going to wet sand it in the morning and put a new coat on it just wanted to share it with you guys on how to do a decent cheap repair or complete repaint of a car! the last one is before any work... i just wanted to test it out on my qtr after i did a little rust repair.. oh yeah the camaro ISENT MINE !!!! lmao its my g/fs she thinks its a hotrod but little does she know how her 5.0 pales in compairson to my 5.0! hehe thanks

Nothing wrong with doing it with a roller since you're going to wet sand the orange peel off. Two coats with a roller would be thicker than 5-6 coats sprayed on.

no on the clear coat Redwalsh it actualy self levels and im useing a hardner the paint i have is rustoleum and it has a really deep gloss and looks really well if u take the time to sand out the peal like eagle stated lol i could paint my whole car for around 50 bux for the paint,rollers,sandpaper,thiner paper towels well lets make it 60 cause i think id want some beer hehe.

oh yeah by the way for anyone interested in trying out the Paint job on a budget heres a link to all the how toos and faqs! helped me figure out how to get it all started just takes time and be really good at knowing what to look for when wet sanding the base coat cause theres no primer involved! Rolled On - Affordable Paintjobs

it was really easy i have a post on the rolled on web site of my progress i actualy decided to repaint my whole car! hehe it will be rustoleum red and im going to lay 8 coats with that and 2 coats of clear! should look great. right now im in the progress of preping it for the paint!

hey everyone its been a while since ive been on here figured i would give you a update on the rollstang! im two coats away from being done and it cost me 50 bux... granted it is going to be my d-d so it isent reallly good but its decent for a roller!

Hey, that's not too bad! My whole car needs repainting...maybe I'll do it that way (different color, though). Especially if it's only $50.

My boys want to do the Mach 5 look when we do it....roller paint base color, maybe spray on the details...

yeah im actualy almost done with it for the last 2 coats im going to hit it with a hvlp so its even but its looking good! as you can see i need a new hood
