Default Finally Got The New Ride Up And Running!

Yup my 2.3 to 5.0 swap is finally running! For whatever reason my A9L computer wasn't turning on the fuel pump even when we wired the pump to come on with the switch it would turn on than immediately shut off. It was very frustrating at first since I didn't know the computer was bad since it came out of my other car that was running when I took it apart, I switched wiring harnesses and changed the fuel injection harness to no avail, finally I swapped in the computer from one of my boys cars and the fuel pumped cycled on and cut off. Turn the key and she fired right up. Suffice to say I was VERY happy. She rides way better than my t-top gt and looks much better to boot! Well here's a pic of the old girl now. Thanks for all you guys help and suggestions .

Yeah it was a little bit of everything I was pissed I was happy I was frustrated but man when that thing finally fired up and I drove it I've been on cloud nine since.

Glad you got it going, that new one looks good and yes, a lot better than the black'un.
I bet I know what happened. The computer came out of a running car? Somewhere along the way it probably got a static shock, and that's what killed it. The computer runs on 12 volts, a static charge can be upwards of 30,000 volts.

Yup, for static to get enough energy to jump from pole to pole, it usually takes around 30,000 volts to do it. One static discharge to the computer will fry it, that's why you'll see those who work with the computer will have bracelets on that connect them to the car, that way they're always grounded.
