Default 5.0 convertibles -- Interest in write-up on convertible tops?

Hello to all,

I'm in the process of replacing the old torn-up top on my '83 5.0 convertible. I didn't find a pre-existing write-up on here about it. Would there be much interest in my posting full details not only of the installation of the new top, but also the removal of the old top? I'm already taking lots of pics and making detailed notes (I've never done this before, so it's all new to me). I'm happy to post them and whatever else I find through the process. I just am not certain how similar removal/installation on my model is to other models of interest here. I spent some time this weekend removing the old top and it will be another week or so before the new top is on. If it wouldn't be of good use or if someone else has already done the legwork, I'll gladly defer. Thanks for any feedback.

Sincerely,
Chris

I would say do it, in as much detail as possible, do it like you're telling a kid in his first auto mechanics class how to do it. I'm sure there's a convertible owner who would want to know how to replace a top, we get that question every once in a while. It'd be good to have someone do a write up.

Any post would be helpful. When I replaced my top I pulled procedures from half a dozen sites. There was one from www.5.0resto.com that helped out. Good luck with it
