Question What do you guys think?

Well as stated in my introduction thread, i plan on
dropping in a 351W in my foxbody mustang[1985]

After browsing along craigslist i came across with this find

Let me know what u guys think

Ford F250 Motor

I emailed the guy 5minutes ago, so im not sure how much the motor is going for

Well anyway, if this guy doesnt respond or if he already sold it
can someone tell me what car[s] came with the 351w?
I plan on going to the junkyard early in the morning

Thanks in advance!

I dont think they have Galaxy's /gran torino's or ranchero's laying around

Well not at the junkyard i go to

Did the F250's come with a windsor? or is that a "different" 351? [this confuses me ]
Ive read on wikipedia also, that the bronco's came with a 351

So my question is, are there Any COMMON cars that came with the 351w

I'm from NY, so the junkyards around here barely/dont have parts for older cars, such as the galaxies, torino's, earlier year mustangs
and even if they DO have something , its usually
WAY over-priced

I hope i dont turn to Ebay, since the shipping is ridiculous

Someone shine some light to my direction

Thanks

You can scope out the early to mid 80's cars like Crown Victoria, Grand Marquis, and the trucks, they had models that came with 351's. But just because it's a 351 doesn't mean it's a performer, find one and get the year of the engine, then we can tell you about it. But most of these 351's are good starting points, it won't be a drop-in-and-race type engine. Most, except for the early 70's cars, aren't powerful units from the factory.

eagle is right most 351 were not performers. i did the swap in my car less than a year ago and i am very happy with it but it is also far from stock. i got a block from a 93 lightning truck and i used a forged rotating assembly. and edelbrock performer rpm flat tappet cam, cnc ported gt40p heads a professional products typhoon intake 30 lb injectors 76 mm mass air, 75 mm tb, but anyways you can build a motor like this and have a WHOLE lot of fun with it. but id you put a stock motor out of a truck in it i don't think you will be happy with it.

Sorry for the late response, but i plan on rebuilding the motor regardless [if it came out of a truck, crown victoria, etc]

I have the engine stand ready out back and im pretty much set for this rebuild

Eagle, Can i PM you when i get info about the 351?
Or should i just make another thread about it

Thanks to all of the above who responded
