I was wondering about the bolt in subframe connectors too. I'm guessing that welding them in would be a lot better, right? also there would be a lot more of an advantage going with full length subframe connectors rather than regular right?

I heard about aftermarket intakes not being able to be used when using strut tower braces but I was planning on eventually getting either a cobra intake or a typhoon intake will that clear those?

I was planning on either the maximum motorsports lower control arms or the granateli lower control arms because those are the only ones I have seen that have adjustable spring perches. would those be a good idea?

ok cool thanks a lot. I know I have a tone of questions but being 16 I don't have the funds to have a shop do the work and I like learning about my car so I try to do it all myself and frinds and find everything and do it right the first time.
if you go with the cobra manifold it will clear

the typhoon will not ...i think BBK makes a strut tower brace that will clear a taller manifold....

as far as the uca & lca i highly recommend steeda.....

being sixteen has nothing to with building the car yourself

it is more of an acomplishment when you do it....

besides that for the most part it gets done right.....besides saving a boat load of money.....

i do 90 % of my own work and i am lot older than 16.....

Keep the questions coming thats how you learn.....

I have a Aunt that was a teacher you many years who said....

the typhoon would be a better intake than the cobra though right? well if I cleared up the casting flash..

I just looked into those and they seem like they would work really good and are pritty cheep. I know that the LCAs help with traction but I heard that getting aftermarket UCA's was basically like just installing urethane bushings, is this true or is there other reasons?

I do feel like I accomplished a lot when I do things to my car. also after taking my car to pepboys to have it cheacked out the first week I had my car I would rather do all the work I can possible because they didn't really do anything and charged me almost a grand. all I could really tell is that they adjusted the e brake. they didn't even tell me that one of my engine mounts was completly snapped off...

that last quote was pritty good, never thought of it like that.

with the typhoon intakes they are hit or miss on the casting

i have actually seen them cleaner that the edlebrock performer which they are based on.....

but for the difference in price what a few hours with your dremel

when you go with upper control arms it's more than a bushing replacement....adjustable uca allow you to fine tune pinion angle

they are worth the money imo......

thats what I was thinking with the typhoon. I don't have a problem with cleaning up the casting flash just if its completly through the runners then it would be worth it to save up. but like you said its hit or miss so I might just take the risk when it comes time and if its too bad save up more and go with a different one.

is it easy to adjust that and actually know what your doing? thats the reason I was thinking about some things that were adjustable and others that weren't because I know if you set up certain things wrong or not perfect with other things you can have big problems. if their easy to adjust without having problems I will go for them.

o really? I just thought that adjusting the pinion angle if you did it wrong would make the rear gears mess up or grind or something.

you are right ....if the pinion angle is wrong it will cause bind leading to premature in the differential

as i mention earlier my suspension is not stock

i am able to adjust the uca to maintain pinion angle at the correct position

the way my rear suspension is setup i have a multitude of adjustments that i can make depending on track conditions.....

with regard to your car you probably do not need adj.uca....but if are going to change them out you might as well get good ones when you do....
