horse power numbers from 1/4 mph

Hello all its been a while I was lookin at some old threads came across one talkin about horse power #s from 1/4 mph. Could any one tell me how to do this or give me some numbers on my car? My car weighs around 3200lbs all motor best 1/4 is 13.57 @ 103.99mph with a bad 60ft. Thanks for any help.

based on the nunbers you gaved.....

Your HP is 253.10 computed from your vehicle weight of 3200 pounds and ET of 13.57 seconds.

that would be rwhp.....you can 15-18 % for hp at the crank

It's far more accurate to calculate rwhp based on 1/4 mile trap speed rather than ET. In that case, assuming the 3200lb weight also includes the driver, you'll have about 244rwhp.

wow um that seams off to me or are those sea level time? my best is only 14.4 at 95.86 mph but at 4,330 feet

I ran that time/speed this weekend at atlanta dragway commerce ga. 2.2 60 ft .043 tree
spin midway 2nd temp in the high 80s
