[MY 85 GT]

I have an 85 GT with the dual snorker air cleaner..I was wondering where i can get the top piece in chrome...I see some on the web with chrome tops was that an option? Or do people have them chromed.....Also i want to get a set of chrome valves which set is nice? And 85 is different for later models right? Thanks....

I've seen those chrome air cleaner lids, they shouldn't be hard to find. Maybe check out some of the sponsors, they have chrome accessories.
And chrome valve covers also shouldn't be hard to find, since it's a carbureted version you could get just about any kind you want.

Thanks yeah i saw just the lids too...thats all i need the whole assy is in great shape i just want a chrome lid...any ideas in where to look? vendor wise?

I'm not sure if it was option .....

you have several options.....

1.if you top is aluminum you can have it polished

2. you can have it chromed plated .....expensive

3. i have seen the chrome tops i believe it 14" Dia.
you could search for it on ebay... i know the chrome top came other ford models....and get factory decals....

4.there is a new powdercoat that i have been working with looks like chrome

i know most "chrome" powdercoat looks like bad polished aluminum.....but this stuff is great

with regard to valve covers.. cj pony.....mustangs unlimited ......late model restoration all have a vast selection of valve covers for your car...

or you can powdercoat the factory parts to match the air cleaner top if that's the way you decide to go...
