My car was running 14.01 with stock 1989 motor. I now have 91 motor with 1997 gt 40 not the p heads and intake. E303 cam new valve springs and the expolrer injectors. I did a mild port and polish. I have the under drive pulles long tube header short exhaust with flow masters. I am swaping motors this week so i can have my 1989 block bored and re done. Oh yeah aod and 373 gears is the drive line

Is the AOD stock? If it's stock, it'll be around a 14. If it has a correct converter that's matched to the engine, it could be a mid 13.

No the converter is 1900-2200 stall. It was built by a guy that would not tell what he did but it shifts like no other aod i have seen. my friends 1991 mustang has all the same and i walk him right out of the hole. I heard of the explorer gear swap but who no's
