The MAC and Flowmaster sound almost the same. *almost* They're both chambered mufflers, so they will sound similar, but the 2 chamber Flow part number is 42543. That's a 2 1/2 inch size and you better get some while you can, I believe they're being phased out as an old design and the Super 44 is taking it's place. Don't hold me to that, that's something I heard a Flowmaster rep mention to someone else at last month's car show. What I've seen is the new American Thunder kits have the Super 44 mufflers.

Thanks Eagle...I like they way it sounds it just has a weird to sound to it maybe its because it doesnt have cats...almost like a 60's car with bad mufflers to me.....or a truck woth say glass packs...Maybe its just me i did find a small leak in front of the drivers side muffler that i need to get fixed...maybe thats why its not sounding good....

Honestly I'm not overly sure of how it would sound compared to what you have now,my dad's 99 gt has frpp shorties, mac cat back, and had a mac h-pipe with cats. He switched to a prochamber and he said he noticed it was a bit different (sounded deeper) but it wasn't drastically different. Maybe the macs aren't your cup of tea ya know? I love the flowmaster brand I jus went with macs this time around because every stang I've had has had flowmasters, I love how they sound. But I also have a cam in mine, and between the time that I had the mac longtubes in there when it was stock and now, there was a big difference in how it sounded between the cam swap.

Yea i think i'll wait and see how it sounds after i do a cam and a set of AFR heads then maybe it will sound different...Its loud but it has an older car sound defentily not like flows...IMO.....I mean my motor is all stock so maybe its a little weak to take the full potential of the exhaust.....

There's one on my profile but I can't figure out how to get to it so here's the same one. I doubt your car is weak it jus sounds different than a car with a motor with a slight amount of work, if anything you'll be lucky since you have a carb and you won't have any efi woes lol.

You can always switch to the flows to suit you better in the sound department, if you do not like it than go back to the macs. It's all about your preference. Let us know wut you end up doin bro.
