I bought another fox body mustang 2 months ago so of course I was doing the usual search. craigs list and ebay. Do you see the prices lately people want for fox mustangs. Its like there going up in price allready. I knew it was coming one day but not yet. I mean $5,000 for a mostly stock 100,000 mile automatic stang .And thats not just one example its the norm, maybe its just new york. What are people thinking. I found mine for the right price but there harder and harder to find.
No it's not just New York. I was on craigslist today and saw an ad someone wanting $1500.00 for a stripped out non-roller (non-roller meaning no doors, no rearend, and no interior). Now that's crazy!
I have to concur...even 6-9 months ago, when I got mine, prices were very reasonable. But I do think they are going up (at least, they seem to be going up here in Denver, also...I'm always on the prowl on Craigslist to see what's available).

Previous models owned:
1980 3.3L I6 notchback (my first car...sigh)
1996 3.8L V6 coupe
(NOTE: the '96 replaced a '95 coupe I had that was thoughtfully totaled...after I had owned it all of 6 days...by a lady who was thinking about Christmas shopping instead of driving)
I HAVE NOTICED THAT TOO... Even on here they are high priced.

crusin cool....now that I have a mustang, crusin fast too.
personally, i think the foxes are going up in price due to the fact that some are becoming anitques.(early 4-eyed models)
also, 99.9 percent of fox-bodied stangs are, at the very least, "slightly" modified. the demand for a bone stock, excellent condition stang has grown. people want a nice, untouched stang.
people have finally realized the Mustang is one hell of a car...dependable, evan when you beat the hell out of it...beautiful in every way!...and there is nothing like driving a Mustang v8!
prices in wisconsin are about that maybe a lil lower but not much
lol anyone posting here want a 82 gt? needs front fender and some paint a lil bit of rust hear and there not horrible for an 82 w/o motor though has 20k on 4 speed. make offer lol just pm me
On ebay, just yesterday, I saw an all original '84 5.0 GT with like 14k miles on it selling for $8800. I also saw and '84 GT350 with only like 2k miles going for $10,000.
They have gotten high because most of them were ragged out or turned into racers. It's tough to find a nice fox body that doesn't need work these days for a reasonable price.

In my area these cars have been high in price since the mid ninties and hard to find one in decent shape since the late nineties. The price for a fox in decent shape has always been high in my town.

Only SOME people want a nice, untouched stang. I personally didn't and still don't. I WANTED a modified car, providing it was done the way I wanted. Took me 18 months of steady looking, but what I found was a really great car. I paid $8,000 for a one owner 45,000 mile car with all original vermillion red paint and black interior. Never winter driven, never wrecked. The guy gave me $16,000 in receipts for MODS done to the car. Literally everything you can do to a Fox Mustang has been done. Except a blower & I had one of those & didn't want another. One guy I showed the car to told me he had just spent $2,000 on his car converting it to the interior mine came with.
Americans LOVE cars and Mustangs are right there at the top as an affordable performance car that, depending on how you drive and your mods, will still get decent economy. My car, with all it's mods, still gets 19 to 20 town and 27 highway. I recently inherited a little money from my Mom. Toying with the idea of putting the '93 up for sale & picking up an '03 -'04 Cobra. But, my Fox turns more heads than a Cobra would! Young guys really give it the eye. With the dark windows, they can't see the driver. They are sure surprised when an old gray haired 64 YO gets out!

Yea, its crazy to see so many Foxes selling for prices of 10,000 and more. I find this incredible considering new they were only $15,000, maybe $17,000 if you got a GT convertible...definitly going to hold on to mine
