anyway, i've got a 1984 Volvo 760gle you all might like to see and amongst my other cars this is the one relevent to this site.

yeah, actually i do all my own work, but this one i picked up with the motor swapped in there.

i have been looking for a volvo body to swap a SBF into but i actually stumbled upon this car for $500 and that was that.

it has a blown head gasket so i just pulled the heads tonight and i'll send them off to get shaved and checked on monday.

plan is to get the heads straitened and back together then slap a turbo on there. i have this sick obsession with turbocharging every car i own and this one is no exception.

i also have a 300bhp 330lb/ft turbo 4cyl volvo 740 that i am still building up.

no timeslip on this one, my 4-banger volvo runs a 13.6 quarter mile, i expect this car to do like a 13.9 or something as it is just a stock motor bored to 306 w/ a motorsport cam.

the car itself w/ the 1989 mustang drivetrain weighs 3150lbs empty, probably like 3350 with me in it.

I thought when I saw a Volvo last fall with a 5.0 in it, that it was unique. Now in the past 6 months, this is the third one.

Yea there does seem to be more and more volvos with 5.0s...I think there might even be a company in Mass that sells a kit for putting 5.0s into volvo's. Volvo's are cheap speed, my friend bought an old 740 or 760, something like that, for $300 and put a boost controller in it and now makes like 200+ hp for $300! Its awesome

i can think of a few things to make it more of a sleeper. of course a volvo is a GREAT starting point

1- get a "my kid is an honor roll student" bumper sticker
2- get a soccer ball decal with your name and put it in your rear window. (make it a soccer mom car.lol)
3-yakima rear mount bike rack


i have to admit, i really like some of those volvos. and im really diggin a v8 in it. im thinking a 347 stroker with dual STS remote mount turbos out back to help keep the v8 quiet
