I’m new to the site. Looks like a lot of great info on here. My father in law recently gave me his 88 GT. It runs well, but needs a lot of replacement parts and is pretty much stock except for a rusted out set of Flowmasters I want to replace with a stainless catback Magnaflow.



Anyhow, for some reason, he replaced the power hatch lock with a regular old bolt. The hatch jumps and shakes all around because it isn’t latched and the supports need replaced as well but I can’t find a replacement power hatch lock anywhere online. I can only find complete lock replacement kits for the doors, glove box and manual hatch release. What’s the deal, are they not available?

have u checked out www.craigslist.org? they got alot of stuff..for real cheap an if u can find what ur lookin for on there its probally alot cheaper than anywhere else...

You might also check your local Ford dealer, that could be a dealer only part.
